The Legendary Drifters

The Legendary Drifters The Legendary Drifters have been held as the best of it's genre on the music scene today! The Legendary Drifters story began with their first Atlantic Record Recording "Money Honey" in 1953 and began making musical history and setting musical trends for the nation and the world to follow. 1959 saw their First Million Record Seller "There goes my baby", which was followed by the two sided smash hits "Dance with Me" and "True Love". January 1960 saw the Legendary Drifters hit the charts with the fantastic sounds of "This Magic Moment". That summer everyone was humming and singing the song that would become their second million seller "Save the Last Dance for Me". "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "Up on the Roof" on the same album, became their third million seller with exciting followup "On Broadway". The groups fourth million seller "Under the Boardwalk" was followed by "Sand in My Shoes" and "Saturday Night at the Movies".

The Legend continues today as a group, consisting of, Jerry Hendrix (who joined the Drifters in 1956), Micheal McCall, Brad Donaldson, and James Martin keeping the iconic music alive.

Appearing with the Legendary Drifters is Tony Whitehead, who has performed with Legendary groups such as The Chi-lites, The Delfonics and the Stylistics. Presently Tony is the lead singer for the Stylistics Review.
